Bees on I-15 in St. George

24 October, 2011 (10:00) | News

On Sunday evening a semi that was carrying millions of honey bees overturn on a section of I-15 in St. George that is currently undergoing construction for a new freeway overpass. A bee keeper has been called in to help collect the bees that escaped, however they are many that are still unaccounted for. Residents in St. George are cautioned to be alert while in the area and to keep windows up while driving. For residents that are nearby, keep an eye out for new beehives in homes or vegetation near your home. Bees can make a nest in nearly any crevice, which leaves areas around your roof, eaves and siding at risk for infestation. To have your home checked for areas that can be more susceptible to future hives or to check for other rodent or insect infested areas, contact HiCaliber today at (435) 674-9338 or visit us online at http://www.hicaliber.biz
