Washington Fields House Fire

31 October, 2011 (10:00) | Fire Damage, News

A home in Washington Fields caught on fire Friday morning, causing nearly a hundred thousand dollars in damage. The fire appears to have possibly started from the engine of a truck that was parked in the garage. The truck along with other vehicles and items in the garage were heavily damaged. The St. George Fire Department has not completed it’s investigation yet, however they do not think that this fire was an act of arson like other vehicle fires as of late. Because of vehicles stored in garages along with paints, gasoline and other combustible items, garages are one of the top areas of home fires following kitchens. Home fires can be devastating, leaving residents with nothing more to their home than ashes and soot.
