Festive for FALL

What is it about fall that makes us want to curl up on the couch with a mug of cider or hot chocolate?  The leaves are changing, the temperature is dropping, and the smells are amazing!  Here are some pointers on how to welcome fall into your home.

CURB APPEAL

Let’s be honest first impression is key.

You want you home to be inviting to guests from the curb!

A WELCOMING DOOR

Having a wreath on the door is like wearing earrings.  It’s an accessory. This beautiful wreath can be worn by your door September through November. It is a classy way to let your family and friends know that they are welcome in your home.

SPLASHES OF FALL COLOR

The nice thing about using pillows as season decoration is, they are easy to story once the season is over and they truly are a simple way to boost the visual interest in your home. You could always buy some Halloween themed pillows, but you would have to switch them out once Halloween was over. Subtle fall pillows can stay for 3 months.

USING THE SENSES

There are SOOOOOO many different fall candles out there. Although, some would argue fall has the best smells. From apple pie to caramel pumpkin! These scents are sure to get you home in the festive mood.  We have found the best fall scented candles are sole at Bath and Body Works. They have 3 wicks and burn clean.

FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS

Nothing says you care about the presentation of your home like updated floral arrangements. There are so many different options for the fall season too. Something as simple as a branch of autumn leaves works wonders. Find areas of the home that are focal points and put your personal touch there.

FESTIVE DINERWARE

For entertaining purposes and for decoration. The dining table would love to have some fun too! It doesn’t have to be as elaborate as the picture shown, even a simple pumpkin plate in the center would suffice.
